The goal of this project was to create a temporary, open-air pavilion designed for creative play and exploration. Although initially intended for children ages 6-9, its interactive design makes it appealing for all ages. The pavilion is built from lightweight, durable, and recyclable polycarbonate modules in two sizes. These transparent, multi-colored panels create vibrant visuals and allow light to filter through, casting playful shadows and reflections.

Each module is designed with notches on all four sides, enabling them to interlock like puzzle pieces. There is no fixed solution, allowing for endless configurations and encouraging creativity and hands-on experimentation. The pavilion functions as both a dynamic playground and a shaded gathering space, inviting users to build, modify, and interact with their environment.

The pavilion would offer an immersive, ever-evolving experience. The overlapping colorful panels would create shifting shadows and colors as natural light filters through, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside. The modular design offers areas for seating, circulation, and elevated views, enhancing interaction with the space throughout the day.
